International Childrens Book Day - March 31st 2010
Come along and celebrate International Childrens Book Day with the Storytelling Guild. We are hosting a Gathering of Storytellers at the Toowong Library Meeting Room between 6 - 8pm on March 31st, 2010.
We will welcome our guest, New Zealand Storyteller, Kay Mills.
International Childrens Book Day is an activity of the International Board of Books for Young People. (IBBY) Each year, all over the world, this day honours stories, books and writing for children and how those stories have changed the way we view the world. This activity is usually held on Hans Christian Anderson's birthday, April 2nd. However because this clashes with Easter in 2010 we are celebrating on March 31st.
So, come along and listen to some tales, tell some of your own and chat with us about your favourite childrens book written by an international author, or in translation.
Please RSVP to bettinanissen@bigpond.com
See you there!
Toowong Library Meeting Room, Toowong Shopping Centre. 6pm-8pm Wednesday March 31st
Take the train to Toowong Station or park in the Shopping Centre.
